Inspired by the best-selling novel by James Fennimore Cooper and later the hit movie starring Daniel Day Lewis, this is Uncas from Last of the Mohicans.

He is the warrior son of Chingachgook, who was the last Mohican.

This vision was in the heart and mind of the artist long before it was put on canvas. This painting of a Canadian Inuit Native, who portrayed Uncas, was the inspiration for the painting.

It seemed natural coming from a background in the Motion Picture industry that this painting would come to life.
